Potton Flower and Vegetable Show
A WEEKEND OF COMMUNITY FUN!
Ralph Parsons – Potton Show Chairman
This year’s Potton Flower and Vegetable Show is taking place on Saturday 12th September, at St Mary’s Hall and Field, Hatley Road, Potton SG19 2RP – what3words ///cargo.archduke.exhales.
For more than fifty years, the Potton Flower and Vegetable Show has been a highlight of our town’s calendar — a weekend that our grandparents would recognise instantly, yet one that continues to evolve with the community it serves. This year’s show promises all the charm of a traditional village fair, combined with the energy and creativity that make Potton such a special place to live.
We warmly invite everyone, old and young, to take part. Whether you grow, bake, sew, craft, paint, photograph or simply enjoy having a go, there is a class for you. From prize dahlias to homemade jam, children’s creations to impressive veg, the show celebrates skill, imagination and the joy of taking part. Entry details are on our website.
The fun doesn’t stop there. Saturday evening brings our ever popular Barn Dance — a lively, good natured, foot stomping night out in the marquee. Ticket details are on the website.
Then on Sunday, the field transforms yet again for the Craft Fair, it attracts up to 40 stallholders selling crafts ranging from wood turning, glass engraving, jewellery, ceramics, art, metal work, and much more. If you would like to display and sell your wares contact Jane on 01767 260293 / 07711584078. We supply tables and chairs you just bring your crafts.
If on the other hand you just want an enjoyable afternoon, please come and check this event out. Enjoy some retail therapy followed by a sit down with a cup of tea and homemade cakes.
The show is proudly inclusive and entirely community run, brought to life by a dedicated team of volunteers. Alongside our friends at Party on Potton and Potton Apple Day, we’re delighted to welcome the town as it joins us again for this years’ Autumn celebrations.
If you can spare a little time to help over the weekend — or even consider joining the committee — please contact us.
We look forward to seeing you at the marquee.
Limited parking – please use Brook End car park or Potton Scout HQ if you are arriving by car.
